NDIS Dance
NDIS Dance
Fit Your Ability offers NDIS dance choreography adapted to suit each person’s level of physical ability while still providing the full effects of an aerobic workout. NDIS dance classes offer a fun, creative way to work out and improve overall health. These classes don’t discriminate – everyone is welcome, regardless of their physical ability. NDIS dance can provide physical benefits, build confidence and self-esteem, and cultivate a feeling of connectedness between participants. We hope to help NDIS participants develop their confidence, independence, companionship, and mobility through personal training.
Dance for Disabilities
For people living with disabilities, dance classes can be a great form of exercise that is accessible and enjoyable. Appropriate momentum and balance control aid in increasing a participant’s range of motion, improving posture, relieving pain, and cultivating coordination.
We are Australia-wide
Sessions can be done in one of our private studios or have an NDIS-registered mobile Personal Trainer come to you.
Our disability personal training sessions are available on the Gold Coast and in other major cities around Australia, such as the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Ipswich, and Melbourne. The number of cities we serve is constantly growing.
Will the NDIS pay for Dance sessions?
NDIS does not specifically cover dance classes. But you’ll be happy to know that they do cover personal training eligible participants. And we have NDIS-registered Personal Trainers who can give our NDIS participants the fun and exciting dance sessions they need. Fit Your Ability is registered for seven line items under core and capacity-building. Many core funding categories also cover dance. We aim to help NDIS participants achieve the goals in their plans. Whether you want to achieve your goals through Cardio or Aerobic dances like Zumba, Latin dancing, hip hop or jazzercise, or you like freestyle dancing or maybe ballroom dancing, we will likely have a Personal Trainer near you who has some experience within that discipline or style of dance.
