SIL and SDA Gyms for residents to achieve their goals
Why an On-Site Gym in a SIL or SDA home?
An on-site gym serves as a competitive feature for any SIL or SDA home. It’s not just a facility; it’s a statement of commitment to the residents’ health, autonomy, and quality of life. For families seeking the perfect living arrangement for their loved ones with disabilities, an accommodation with a fully equipped gym stands out as an amazing option. It signifies a supportive environment where residents are encouraged to explore their physical capabilities and pursue personal fitness goals at their own pace, prioritising an active and inclusive living environment.
Fit Your Ability offers expertise and experience in creating accessible, safe, and engaging fitness environments.
Fitness in SIL and SDA
Fit Your Ability specialises in tailoring gym setups for Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodations and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) homes, ensuring each piece of home gym equipment is tailored to the unique needs of their residents. This mobile service offers invaluable convenience and personalisation, and the addition of an on-site gym within SIL or SDA accommodations significantly enhances the living experience for NDIS participants.
Our NDIS Personal Trainers are specialised in assisting individuals with disabilities to achieve their health and fitness goals at home, whether it be in a family home, SIL, or SDA setting.
Partner with Fit your Ability
We recognise that each SIL and SDA accommodation has its unique space and budgetary considerations. That’s why we offer flexible solutions, ranging from compact setups occupying just a few square meters to bigger fitness centres. Our goal is to make on-site gyms an attainable feature for every SIL and SDA accommodation. What we offer is extremely cost-effective, with options starting from just a few thousand dollars, supplied and installed.
To cater to your specific needs, we offer three main options to consider. First, you can simply purchase a gym setup. Second, you could have a mobile PT to come to you without any equipment to train you. Lastly, and what we recommend as the best option, is to purchase a gym setup and then have our PT come to train the residents, whether in a family home, SIL, or SDA home. Regardless of the choice, we’re here to support the participants at whichever level they are in.
