NDIS Martial Arts
NDIS Martial Arts
Fit Your Ability is NDIS-registered for a variety of core and capacity-building categories. We specialise in bringing out the best abilities of people living with disabilities through exercise. And martial arts is one type of personal training we offer at Fit Your Ability. NDIS martial arts classes provide physical and mental benefits by encouraging discipline, confidence, independence, companionship, and mobility — all while having fun in an enjoyable and supportive environment.
Martial Arts for Disabilities
Martial arts classes are a great way for those living with disabilities to be able to stay active and have a regular exercise routine. This type of exercise fosters physical, mental, and social well-being as it focuses on techniques and sequences tailored to the individual’s physical capabilities. Depending on one’s unique abilities, martial arts classes can be a great way to get physical exercise and learn valuable self-defence techniques.
We are Australia-wide
We aim to help more NDIS participants achieve the goals in their plans. Our NDIS-registered Personal Trainers are available across Australia – from the Gold Coast to Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and even Ipswich. We have 100% private studios and NDIS-registered mobile Personal Trainers in major cities who can come directly to your door, plus more locations soon.
Will the NDIS pay for Martial Arts sessions?
The NDIS does not specifically cover martial arts. However, it covers personal training for eligible participants. We have NDIS-registered Personal Trainers who are experienced in martial arts, which means, depending on funding, martial arts classes can be done under the NDIS. Fit Your Ability is registered for seven line items on the NDIS, allowing us to help more NDIS participants achieve the goals they have funding for through fitness and recreational activities such as martial arts. We can help with martial arts such as karate, taekwondo, kung fu, kickboxing, boxing, and other forms of self-defence.
